An assisted care facility that I designed opened last week. The 24 bed facility has a simple cruciform plan with a control desk in the middle. The corridors all have a ton of glass at the end with one ending at a sitting room. Corridors are also broken up with dining and sitting areas with three small resident clusters that the staff can easily see from the central station. The views are down to a pastoral farm field through which runs the Amtrak Downeaster and other trains. The reviews have been great.
