Yesterday a couple who I designed a house for on a lake were up to see the construction a little further along. Spring is here and I can no longer walk out on the lake or skate on the lake to take some pictures. The siding and exterior trim is mostly complete and showed off nicely with the clear clear day we had. The site was quite a 3D puzzle with the owners desiring the living space to be close to grade instead of the too oft one story up. The Kitchen/Dining/Living is all one story in the footprint of the former home and behind is a garage with First Floor Primary Suite which has some additional bedrooms above. Raised cape flavor keeps the Second Story more demure.
The owners are very very very happy with how this is coming out. I took a bunch of pictures of them with the house as a backdrop and so they returned the favor. For the pic of me with the sign, the husband was had his wife’s back literally to assure a drop in the drink wasn’t part and parcel.
